A Collection of Classic and Contemporary Hymns Hand-Selected by Max Lucado as the Soundtrack to His Latest Book

Master storyteller Max Lucado presents the life of Jesus Christ in stunning contrast, revealing the irresistible human qualities and the undeniably divine characteristics of Jesus in his latest book, Next Door Savior. The companion soundtrack offers classic and contemporary hymns hand picked by the author himself. In an effort to embrace the beauty and depth of traditional music of the church, these hymns deliver original writings in all new arrangements by some of today’s top Christian artists. Next Door Savior provides reflective and contemplative music that will encourage anyone on their journey in discovering Christ.

Artist's Corner
Some thoughts from the artist's about Max's writing and the album, Next Door Savior.

I am a long time fan of Max Lucado. The first book I bought for myself was "When God Whispers Your Name" by Lucado. Since then Max's pen has written many lines that have encouraged and challenged me. When I was given one of the first manuscripts to "Next Door Savior", to read with the intent of recording a song for the record by the same name, I should have known it would have become much more than just a "homework assignment". Once again Max took words I had seen before and told a story that I had heard many times in such a way that made me feel like I was experiencing Jesus for the first time. In a lot of ways I was. "Next Door Savior" forces you to see Jesus for what He is. Like Max says, "Fully Man so He can understand you, fully God so He can save you". - Warren Barfield
